Not sure what to think about this sort of thing, bit short sighted and a tad pathetic on one hand, on the one hand can see were other supporters are coming from.

End of the day, the changes have been made, still early days but give the club some time, sure Man city fans went through similar, it’s a changing world, some times it aint easy to swallow.

Some nice clips in there though.

But Man City DID progress, in a big way. We look like we will be selling our best player soon.

I'm sure Brady gets up people's noses with her comments about ...Brand...New History...Consumers not Supporters...

Definitely would put me off...from someone who has no link to the club's history...and is Arsenal to boot...

Media Marketing Whore...

Yep, Man City bougjt better players each window and moved higher and higher up the league.
We are going backwards and will prob sell our best player.

Re: *must see* open letter to the board.
There is no doubt that West Ham does need to develop its "brand" otherwise it will get left behind (further) by the clubs that have already. But........

It should not undermine the football roots of the club, and....

There is no need to that tart to go spouting on about it to the fans. Spout it to the people that are going to give us lucrative sponsorship deals etc.

Re: *must see* open letter to the board.
Brady hasn't been interested in the true fans from day one, hence the way the season tickets were sold with the plus ones.
Fans have then been screwed with the band prices, the cgi images don't give true reflection of the actual views.
The west stand every 2nd half looks empty, fuck knows who's sitting in there.
Resorting to giving away tickets, cheap tickets.
In a few seasons without any real success ,the bloke is right, the support will dwindle back to those of us that actually care about the club.

Good video and he makes some valid points but this is just the way of modern football. Could apply to loads of clubs.

It's not really a letter is it? I'm not going to watch some minge moaning about stuff. It's done, let's get on with it.

Re: *must see* open letter to the board.
Vexed, it doesnt make it right just cos it's done and it doesn't mean things can't be improved, the more people that do things like this and speak out to the board will hopefully see things improved.
Jack Sullivan has tweeted about this, which means his dad will have seen it, he's already asked to speak to the blokes who made it.
He makes some great points and they deserve to be heard.

That was great and sums us up,never ever in my nearly forty years of coming down the a11/m11 have I done it because we are winners,we are different always will be but have been let down year after year, what a legacy to be the one who made us instead of throwing that money in the corner and not being remembered because you wanted money over everything. Greed beyond belief and no matter how much you got you like us at some point will die, I've just witnessed how greed affects people and it's not nice.

That last post may have made sense with the use of some punctuation; but I doubt it.

Is it as good as 13BR's "Moving forward with you, Sam"?

i've not been to the OS because its not aimed at the likes of me, not saying i wont ever go but at the moment i have no desire to.

Who has already developed their brand and become more successful than us, Cambs?

At the moment it's only the bigger clubs that have "developed their brand"; Liverpool, Arsenal, Man U, Chelsea etc. The main obvious benefit to them has been overseas merchandise sales, sponsorship etc.

All clubs though should be wanting to maximise their income for the good of the team. Unfortunately, that requires visibility of a "brand" and some pretty (unsavoury to some/most) corporate smarmyness.

I'm all for west Ham selling as much as they can to whoever wants to buy it as long as the football aspect of the club is better for it. I just want the corporate side on top of our traditions not instead of.

Re: *must see* open letter to the board.
The problem with all of this is that there is no viable final solution. You could sort out all of the issues with the stewards, the standing vs sitting, the stalls on the approach to the stadium, the family area/singing area, the pricing to avoid tourists buying a season ticket and turning up twice a year and everything else people are unhappy with but you would still be left with a stadium where the vast majority of seats have an awful view and the vast majority of people feel detached from the game because of how far they are from the pitch.

Therefore unless there is some kind of viable campaign to rebuild the stadium or move elsewhere, no matter how long it takes to get there, then I am done with the greedy cunts and will always consider them to have stolen West Ham from the people.

I want a decent team that does not look relegation threatened every other season more than I want the ground sorted out. Thats how bad things are :-(

Re: *must see* open letter to the board.
PD. Can't compare us to Man City. They have floundered in the old Div 3 and were going nowhere until the Arabs bought them. Can slag our owners off as much as we like but financially they have no chance of competing with Man City.
